Parliament was left in laughter as the Hon Kisos Chemaswet the member of Parliament Soi county requested to escort Musician Queen Sheebah amidst parliamentary session.
The MP made his request through the newly appointed minister, minister of state for Energy and minerals, Phiona Nyamutoro.
Nyamutoro took to the floor of Parliament and requested the deputy speaker Hon Thomas Tayebwa to allow Hon Chemaswet escort sheebah as she left Parliament.
“Hon speaker, Hon Chemaswet has asked me to tell you to allow him to escort sheebah as she leaves Parliament,” Nyamutoro said.
However, Hon Tayebwa jokingly said that Hon Chemaswet should first stand for sheebah to see who he was before he granted him permission to escort her.
“I think what is important is to allow sheebah to see who Chemaswet is before we proceed,” Tayebwa said.
However, Hon Naome Kabasharira the member of Parliament Rushenyi County objected stating that Chemaswet is a dangerous substitute not to be given a chance to escort sheebah.
“One day, we were in Kyakwanzi and I saw Hon Chemaswet carrying one of the ministers and I don’t know where he was taking her, is it right for a person with this kind of history to be allowed to escort sheebah?, she wondered.
