Daystar university sued on election malpractice by Margaret Muchoki for disqualifying her from the students’ presidential race.
Muchoki argued the institution disqualified her and her running mate without providing reasons or specifying the code of conduct they violated
In a demand letter to the university, the student alleged the code of conduct used to lock her out of the race had not been ratified

Nairobi – Daystar University is embroiled in a court battle with a student over election malpractice allegedly witnessed during the students’ elections.
Margaret Muchoki and her running mate alleged that they were barred from vying for the president and deputy president seats by the university electoral body without legal explanation.

They alleged their bid to lead the Daystar University Student Association (DUSA) was stopped over unfounded grounds shrouded in blanket allegations “of contravening the school’s code of conduct”

Disqualified over unsubstantiated reasons
The duo claimed the university made the decision without referring to a specific clause (s) of the constitution they had violated.

Muchoki stated in the papers that they were allowed to submit their nomination papers and were equally invited for vetting but were appalled when the electoral body rejected their bid.

Muchoki is the immediate former DUSA vice president and was seeking to ascend to the presidency
